Working Out Quantities

We understand that working out the quantities you need for your job can be a daunting task! The table below will give a guide to the quantities of material required to complete various processes. The amount of resin needed to do this varies from one fibreglass fabric to another. The following table shows the amount of resin needed per m², as well as material quantities for completing other processes.Material Spread Rates

Estimating quantities is very simple using the information provided in this table to perform a few calculations.

Example: Laminating using multiple layers of CSM - area to be covered is 5m²

Using 3 layers of 600g CSM

Total weight of CSM: 3 x 600g = 1.8kg

Quantity of resin required per m²: 2.5 x 1.8kg = 4.5kg

Total resin required for 5m²: 4.5kg x 5 = 22.5kg

Total catalyst required: 22.5 x 20g = 450g
