Metroflex Flexible Roofing Resin
Metroflex is the next generation of GRP flat roofing - a pre-accelerated, unsaturated polyester fire-retardant resin engineered specifically for the demands of flexible roof systems, where the ability to move with the building without cracking matters as much as waterproofing itself. Unlike standard laminating resins, Metroflex's base resin cures with a high elongation at break of around 50%, giving the finished roof genuine flexibility and elasticity to accommodate structural movement, thermal expansion, and minor substrate flex over time - a common cause of failure in rigid GRP roofing systems.
Metroflex is designed to be used in combination with 300g chopped strand mat, suiting both small domestic flat roofs and larger commercial projects. It's BRoof (t4) fire-rated, meeting the external fire performance classification required for many roofing applications, and it's formulated as a low-viscosity, low-styrene-content resin for good application characteristics by brush or roller. When used together with Metroflex Primer, it can also be applied over many existing roof coverings and difficult substrates, making it a strong choice for refurbishment work as well as new-build roofing, without the need to strip back to bare deck in every case.
This range is stocked in 5kg and 20kg packs to suit both smaller repair or single-roof jobs and larger commercial applications.
