Metroflex Primer

Metroflex Primer is an essential component of the Metroflex system wherever the resin is being applied to an existing or difficult substrate. Applied to the roof deck before laminating, it penetrates and chemically bonds with surfaces such as roofing felt, bitumen, and other porous or contaminated materials, creating a secure key for the Metroflex resin and glassfibre to bond to.

Without primer, adhesion to non-timber substrates cannot be guaranteed, making it a critical step in overlay applications. If you're working on new OSB or clean plywood, primer is not typically required - in which case the Metroflex packs without primer are appropriate. For all other substrates, use primer as the first stage of your installation. Coverage from 0.3 to 0.5kg per m² depending on substrate.
