Prymax Wood Hardener

Prymax Wood Hardener is a single-pack, moisture-curing polyurethane designed to soak deep into rotten or decayed wood and harden it from within. As it cures, the polymer strengthens and reinforces the deteriorated timber, giving a solid base that can take filler and providing a barrier against further moisture getting in. It's suitable for both interior and exterior repairs and, thanks to its moisture-curing formula, can even be applied in damp conditions where other products would struggle.

Unlike two-part wood hardeners, Prymax applies straight from the tin with no mixing or hardener required, making it a straightforward first step in restoring soft or rotten timber - window frames, door frames, sills, fascias and general woodwork repairs - before filling and painting over. Available in 1 litre and 5 litre sizes to suit anything from a single window frame repair to larger restoration projects.
