Gelcoats & Topcoats

The gelcoat or topcoat is the face of your GRP project. It gives the glossy, colour-fast surface you see and protects the laminate underneath from water, UV and general wear. CFS Fibreglass supplies gelcoats and topcoats in clear, white, black and a vast choice of colours, for boats, mouldings, roofs, vehicles and more.

Gelcoats are applied to the mould first, so they become the outer surface of the finished part. Choose from clear, white, black, spray, vinylester and tooling gelcoat for building moulds and patterns.

Topcoats are applied over the laminate, usually by brush or roller, to finish and seal a surface. They are ideal for repairs and for finishing a part when you can't use a mould-applied gelcoat.

Matching a colour is easy with our coloured ranges, which you can browse:

• By colour: neutral, green and blue, yellow and orange, red and brown, for both gelcoats and topcoats.
• By range: gelcoats and topcoats in BS, RAL, CFS and Fascol colour ranges.
