Low Cost Grey Topcoat

Our Trade Line Dark Grey Topcoat is a budget-friendly, no-frills polyester topcoat designed for tradespeople and workshops who need reliable, consistent results without paying for extras they don't need. Pre-pigmented in RAL 7011 (Iron Grey), it's formulated specifically to save you the time and mess of hand-mixing pigment into a clear or neutral base - simply catalyse and apply.

As a topcoat, it's formulated with added wax to cure to a hard, glossy, tack-free finish when exposed to air, making it ideal as a final protective and decorative layer over laminate, rather than as a surface coat that will be laminated over (for that, use a gelcoat instead). Its low viscosity makes it easy to brush or roll out to an even film, flowing well without excessive dragging, and it's well suited to general fibreglass repair work, mould-offs, vehicle bodywork, and everyday production laminating where a consistent grey finish is required at a competitive price point.

This range is stocked in three pack sizes - 5kg and 20kg for smaller jobs, repairs, and workshop use, and a 200kg drum for larger-scale trade and production use - so you can buy exactly the quantity your job requires.
