Choose from a polyester kit for traditional fibreglass boards, or an epoxy kit for epoxy-construction boards. Each kit includes resin, surfboard cloth, sandpaper, mylar film, a spreader card, mixing sticks, and full instructions.

Polyester or epoxy - which kit do I need?

The key is to match the kit to your board's construction. If you're not sure which you have, check the manufacturer's spec or look up your board model online.

Polyester boards are the most common type - the majority of traditional shortboards, longboards, and fish are built with polyester resin. If your board has a dense, heavy feel and was made by a mainstream shaper, it's likely polyester. Use the Polyester Ding Repair Kit.

Epoxy boards are typically lighter and often have a slightly hollow sound when tapped. Many modern performance boards, beginner boards, and foam-core (EPS) boards are built with epoxy resin. Use the Epoxy Ding Repair Kit.

It's important to use the right one: applying polyester resin to an epoxy board can cause the surrounding laminate to lift or delaminate, turning a small repair into a bigger problem. When in doubt, go epoxy - epoxy resin is compatible with both board types.
