BPO powdered catalyst, exclusively for use with Metroflex resin.

Metroflex Catalyst is the BPO (benzoyl peroxide) powdered hardener used to initiate the cure of Metroflex flexible roofing resin. Unlike liquid MEKP catalysts used in standard polyester resins, this powdered catalyst is blended specifically for the Metroflex system and is supplied pre-weighed for accurate dosing.

The correct catalyst ratio is critical to achieving the right pot life and cure time - too little and the resin may remain tacky; too much and the working time may be insufficient to complete the section. In hot weather, Metroflex Summer Inhibitor should be used alongside the catalyst to extend the working time. Always follow the Metroflex application guidelines for the correct dosage at the prevailing ambient temperature.

Metroflex Roofing system can be applied to any flat roof of any size and any configuration, and can be installed without expensive specialist tools. The completed monolithic (seamless) membrane is hard wearing, resisting UV, heat, weathering and foot traffic.

The Metroflex system has been tested and approved to the highest specification of fire resistance (BRoof (t4)) to meet all building control requirements for flat roofing.

Our standard colour is RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, and a slate granule can be added to create a natural non-slip finish if required.
