RTV Thixotropic Additive

RTV Thixotropic Additives TA2 and 3011 are silicone thickening agents designed for use with RTV 23 Silicone, allowing it to be applied by brush to vertical surfaces, undercuts, and complex patterns without the material sagging or running during application.

In its standard form, RTV 23 Silicone has a relatively low viscosity that makes it well suited to pouring over flat or contained patterns. Adding the Thixotropic Additive increases the body of the material, giving it a paste-like consistency that stays where it is applied, making it ideal for brush-applied skin moulds and glove moulds where precise coverage and control are important.
